There is no other

Know, recognise, and understand therefore this day and turn your [mind and] heart to it that the Lord is God in the heavens above and upon the earth beneath; there is no other. Deuteronomy 4:39 AMP

There is no other. Absolutely no other. He is sovereign over everything. Adonai, Lord and Master. 

Are there any among the false gods of the nations who can cause rain? Or can the heavens [of their own will] give showers? Are You [alone] not He, O Lord our God? Therefore we will wait [expectantly] for You, for You have made all things [the heavens and the rain]. Jeremiah 14:22 AMP

There is no other that has the wisdom and intimate knowledge of us, mere human beings on this earth. 

In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.... But [only] with [God] are [perfect] wisdom and might; He [alone] has [true] counsel and understanding. Job 12:10, 13 AMP

There is no other that can guide us through trials and tribulations, giving us courage and strength.

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation. He only is my Rock and my Salvation, my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be greatly moved. Psalm 62:1-2 AMP

There is no other that can transform us and bring life from death.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMP

There is no other! His name shall endure forever!

His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun [indeed, His name continues before the sun]. And men shall be blessed and bless themselves by Him; all nations shall call Him blessed! Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who alone does wondrous things! Blessed by His glorious name forever; let the whole earth be filled with His glory! Amen and Amen! Psalm 72:17-19 AMP

Question for today, in your life, is there no other? Where is it that you seek shelter? Where is it that you go to be refreshed? Where is it that you seek salvation? In the presence of God is where shelter and refreshing can be found. There is no other.

One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider and inquire of His temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:4-5 AMP
