Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! Psalm 100:4 AMP
Today the Holy Spirit is reminding me about the importance of being thankful. Regardless of what is going on in our lives, we are commanded to be thankful. Thankful for what God is doing in and through us and those around us, even when we don't understand it.
Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 AMP
There are many days in our lives when we have to make a choice to be thankful. The days when things don't seem to be going 'our way'. The days when disaster strikes. The days when loved ones go to heaven. Even on these days, we still have many things to be thankful for, number one being our salvation through Jesus.
Therefore Jesus also suffered and died outside the [city's] gate in order that He might purify and consecrate the people through [the shedding of] His own blood and set them apart as holy [for God]...... Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name. Hebrews 13:12,15 AMP
Thank you Jesus. No other name.
And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 AMP
Thank you Jesus for all you have done for us, giving us access to our Heavenly Father again, and giving us peace within, your perfect peace. Thank you.
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. Colossians 3:15 AMP
