How often in our lives is there something going on and we think to ourselves, that there is nothing that can be done about it, so we don't take it to Jesus. Or maybe we don't realise we are thinking that, and it is just happens in our sub-conscious. Either way, we make a decision not to bother Him with it. We are deceived into apathy.
But Jesus is always listening. And He has something to say.
Jesus overheard and said. "Don't be upset. Just trust me and everything will be all right." Luke 8:50 The Message
The Amplified Bible puts it this way,
But Jesus, on hearing this, answered him, Do not be seized with alarm or struck with fear; simply believe [in Me as able to do this], and she shall be made well. Luke 8:50 AMP
It can be so easy to become seized with alarm or struck with fear. But that is not how Jesus wants us to live our lives. He wants us to bother Him with everything. He is interceding for us.
Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah). Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us? Romans 8:34 AMP
He wants us to simply believe that He is able. He wants us to be active in our faith, not apathetic. He wants us to bother Him today, right now. So let's just do it!
Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ's love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture:
They kill us in cold blood because they hate you.
We're sitting ducks, they pick us off one by one.
None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I'm absolutely convinced that nothing - nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable - absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. Romans 8:35-39 The Message
