Thank You

I will thank You and confide in You forever, because You have done it [delivered me and kept me safe]. I will wait on, hope in and expect in Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your saints. Psalm 52:9

Today we will get Victoria's MRI results. This morning as I started a conversation with God, I began by thanking Him for where she is today. Victoria's life has progressed very differently from the initial prognosis spoken by her oncologist. I have a lot of respect for him and I believe he did what was best for Victoria at those times. However, there is One Who knows all. One, who just doesn't have a prognosis, He knows exactly what is going to happen and when it is going to happen. His thoughts are higher, and His ways are higher.

"I don't think the way you think. The way you work isn't the way I work." GOD's Decree. "For as the sky soars high above the earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think." Isaiah 55:8-9 The Message

Secondly I asked Jesus for His peace to be in Victoria today as she waits. It is not an easy time for her (understatement).

Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the centre of your life. Philippians 4:6-7 The Message

As Victoria gets older this journey is so much more about her faith and her relationship with God. It is of little reassurance to her having Mum and Dad saying, 'It will be okay.' She needs to know that in her heart - a reassurance that only her Heavenly Father can give her. When you have faced disappointment twice previously, hearing the news that the tumour is growing, it takes a new level of trust to overcome that disappointment. It takes a new level of hope to remind yourself of what God did for you in both those circumstances. It takes a new level of faith to continue to believe that God is on your side.  Praise God for child-like faith.

Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving] is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:4 AMP

There is so much to be thankful for. Today God we give You thanks and praise for every one of those things. We thank You for where Victoria is today. We thank You for all you have taught us on this journey, and continue to teach us. We thank You in faith for a good result today. We thank You that You are a good God.

Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 AMP
