One body in Christ

For as in one physical body we have many parts (organs, members) and all of these parts do not have the same function or use, so we, numerous as we are, are one body in Christ (the Messiah) and individually we are parts one of another [mutually dependent on one another]. Having gifts (faculties, talents, qualities) that differ according to the grace given us, let us use them:  Romans 12:4-6a AMP

Praise God we don't have to be all things to all people! Each of us, in Christ has a purpose, a function that He has designed us for. A function that we are unable to do effectively apart from Christ. The Message bible puts it this way,

In this way we are like the various parts of the human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we're talking about is Christ's body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as part of his body. Romans 12:4-5a The Message

Christ must always be our focus, the place we go to check our heart attitudes, our thoughts and our plans. He is the Cornerstone.

You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the chief Cornerstone. In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, welded) together harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase) into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated, and sacred to the presence of the Lord]. In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit. Ephesians 2:20-22 AMP

Today, let's celebrate being part of the body of Christ. Let's take time today to do something to show how 'In Him, the whole structure is joined together harmoniously'. Let's use the gifts Christ has given us to be a blessing to one another.
